You can pile on tons of makeup and scrub your face with sour milk or acids and it's not going to do any good. There is no way to get rid of freckles. Anyone who tells you otherwise is trying to sell you something.

Your freckles are a part of who you are, and you need to embrace them. As soon as you stop worrying about them you will have so much more time to do fun things, and you will be a lot happier.

Remember that the models you see in magazines have had a ton of airbrushing. No one's skin really looks that way! I'm a makeup artist so I put makeup on people almost everyday of my life.

i found a few articles online--

Freckles. Considered cute by some, they are a real problem for others. Freckles, a.k.a. ephelides, are small brown or tan patches common in individuals with lighter skin, blond or red hair, and blue, green or grey eyes. They appear early in life, increase in number during summer months and fade in winter. After the age of 40-45 they disappear, but who wants to wait? * Wash your face with sour milk. Lactic acid will provide gentle peeling effect without irritating or drying your skin.

* Lemon juice is a time proven freckle fighting remedy. It is not necessary to rub your skin with a piece of lemon. Applying the juice with your fingers will do the job.

* Fruit and vegetable masks (apricots, strawberries, cucumbers, red currant).

* Sour cream mask. Do not rinse this mask completely, just remove gently with a facial tissue, then apply a moisturizer. For oily skin - use lemon juice before applying the mask.

* Natural parsley juice (or parsley infusion) mixed with equal amounts of lemon juice, orange juice, and red currant juice under your favorite cream will help you keep your freckles invisible.

Last but not least - increase your Vitamin C intake! It makes your skin less sensitive to the sun. Foods rich in vitamin C include citrus fruits, apples, green onions, black and red currant, rosehip tea.

Please note that some types of skin discoloration are due to internal disorders. Poor liver functioning, hormonal or metabolism disorders, overactive thyroid can be the underlying reasons for unsightly cosmetic problems. If this is the case, start your treatment from the inside.

However, if you have decided to start the battle against them, keep in mind that several dermatologists strongly recommend prescription-strength retinoids for the treatment of freckles, while other modern treatments for lightening freckles suggest also freezing them with liquid nitrogen, as well as the use of strong chemical acid peels, dermabrasion, or forceful ablative laser treatments. Chemical peels are two main different types, superficial, and deeper. Superficial peels, including glycolic peels, are able to remove freckles after many repeated treatments while deeper peels will get rid of freckles all at once, but at the cost of a more significant recovery time. Resurfacing may get rid of freckles and age spots, but usually are painful and may damage healthy skin, cause scarring and require lengthy recovery times.

On the other hand, one of the most conventional and used treatments for freckles is the use of bleaching agents, which the main function is masking the appearance of freckles in an attempt to fade the freckles to a color approximating that of the surrounding skin, but sometimes their use may result in an undesirable appearance lightening or darkening the skin surrounding the spots, calling even more attention to the area than getting rid of the freckles.

Occasionally, bleaching agents cause chemical burns or rashes, particularly in people with sensitive skin, even causing unpleasant irritation and breakouts, although some individuals have had success using alpha hydroxy acids on a regular basis, combined with sun avoidance and the use of sunblock factor 15 and above to getting rid of freckles while protecting their skin. In fact, the sun causes the darkener risk factor using chemical or natural bleachings such as lemon juice.

Spending too much time outside in the sun may help cause freckles in some individual or make them darker. Kids who have fair complexions and their skin and eyes are light in color are most likely to have freckles as well as people with fair skin light complexion who has less melanin in his or her skin to begin with, but some of their melanocytes make more melanin than other. Melanin is a chemical produced by the skin cells called melanocytes and responsible to protect the skin from sun damage by reflecting and absorbing ultraviolet rays. The more melanin individuals have in their skin, the tanner the look. Such fair skin people when are exposed to the sun instead of getting a suntan, they may easily get freckles.

Today getting rid of freckles is easily achieved with lasers treatment because the treatment can be pinpointed at even a very small spot causing very small lesions to the skin. Other methods used in the quest to getting rid of freckles include the intake or topical application of Retin-A, which is a good treatment, but may take several months of use of the product before seeing good results.
Tips for Freckles - Prevent freckles by taken some of these preventive measures

* Wear a hat to keep the sun from directly hitting your face.

* Use sunscreen or sunblock with UV factor 30+

* If you can avoid peak sun hours, between 10 am and 4 pm when the sun is most intense wherever you live.

* Check out your medications since some things you apply to your skin or take internally may cause skin sensitivity such as antibiotics, birth control pills and some topical products that cause sun sensitivity including alpha hydroxy acids and benzoyl peroxide.

* Ask your doctor to determine if what you use on your face or take internally would make your skin more sensitive to the sun.

* Stay as far as you can from tanning beds because these devices expose your skin to lots of pigment-inducing UV radiation; one tanning bed session is equal to a whole day spent at the beach without sun protection.

* Look for over-the-counter fading creams containing hydroquinone and follow the directions and precautions on the package carefully.

For getting rid of freckles you need to be consistent because even a few minutes of unprotected sun exposure each single day will add freckles to your face and/or other parts of your body.
Natural and home remedies to get rid of freckles

There are also several natural remedies to fade or get rid of freckles such as washing your face with sour milk because lactic acid provides a gentle peeling effect without irritating or drying your skin. Also lemon juice is a time proven freckle fighting remedy but do avoid the sun directly after application. It is not necessary to rub your skin with a slice of lemon, just apply the juice with your fingers as if it was a regular lotion.

Fruit and vegetable masks made with mashed cucumbers, apricots, strawberries or red currant improve your chances to getting rid of freckles the same as sour cream mask, but do not rinse such masks completely, just remove them gently with a facial tissue, then apply a non-chemical moisturizer. If your skin is oily, use lemon juice before applying any mask and never leave to pay attention to control sun exposure.

Finally, a mixture of natural parsley juice or parsley infusion with equal amounts of lemon juice, orange juice, and red currant juice under your favorite cream will help you keep your freckles invisible while you get rid of them.

hope i helped

Dream Mousse Mattee covers quite well.
Also MAC and Sephora have great coverups if your willing to pay the price. ($$$)

I wouldn't recommend CoverGirl regular foundation, it clogs pores and has poor coverage.
Any type of mousse coverup should do the trick, just besure to do a very thin layer so you don't look fake. Also a slight powder coat on top can't hurt.

I'm not sure of a way to remove them.
Their might be one if you go to a plastic surgeon/ dermatoligist.

If you can I would recommend seeing a derm.
They can help you out, maybe they have fading creams. :)
