ADD/ADHD

Question Posted Sunday August 13 2006, 4:19 am

I think i have ADD and i am going to be tested for it before i go back to school. I have taken adderall a bunch of times before and that helped me. I was wondering though.. is adderall more for people with ADHD? Cause i dont think i have that. If i got diagnosed with ADD, do you think i would be prescribed adderall?

i think that the best thing to do is trust your doctor with that kind of thing. dont worry about it, he'll know what will work best with your body

Different medication react differently with people. If you are diagnosed with ADD you should talk to your doctor about it and tell him how it hasn't helped in the past. He'll tell you what you should take whether it is Adderall or not. My friend used to be on Adderall and it seemed to work good with him. He had ADD too.

I'm just wondering though, if you aren't prescribed Adderall, why are you taking it? I'm guessing you aren't since you haven't even been diagnosed with ADD yet.

Be very careful with taking adderall as it has actually been recalled in Canada. What I have found works best in clients is a medication called concerta. You should listen to your doctor though as he will know what is best for you.

Hope this helps
