Question Posted Thursday August 10 2006, 12:27 pm

Ok so when I dont blow dry or straighten my hair.
[let it air dry]
It dries sorta wavy,
but is there anything I can spray on it
or something to make the waves more defined, or even curls?
and shiny, so it doesnt loook all dull?

My hair does the same exact thing! What I usually do is take a shower and then immediatly go to bed. This makes it curl a little more. As for the shine I would recommend using Biosilk... but Biosilk can sometimes be outrageously expensive, so try using an off brand

There are brands of Shampoos out there taht make products that help you get a just start on curly/straight hair. One that probably will work the best is by John Freeda (sp??!!) they have a line that helps your hair curl and it's a very reliable brand, so i assume it works! I hope this helps!

For making it more defined, try Mark Curl Goddess spray, they also have a gel I think...available at meetmark.com, avon.com, or from an Avon Representative.

For making it shinier, use a shine-enhancing shampoo designed for your hair color...I use John Frieda Brilliant Brunette (they also have a line for brunettes and a line for redheads). It's available at Walmart and most drugstores.
Some pictures of the brunette line-

That's the shampoo. Make sure you get the right shade- for instance, there's shampoo for light blonde and shampoo for dark blonde- if you use the wrong shade it will probably look strange.

They also make a shine serum:

Clinique makes a good one too, but it's expensive.

Let me know if you need any more help!

After you wash your hair, you could scrunch it to make it look more wavy/curly by using gel or mousse. I recommend you use L'Oreal Studioline Lasting Curls. or, try putting your hair into 2 braids when it's still wet, or you could do it when it's dry, too. Leave the braids in for awhile and take them out, and your hair will be wavy. After your hair is wavy or curly enough, spray Aquage Beyond Shine Spray in your hair. It works reallyyy well and you can buy it at hair salons. Ask your hair dresser what he or she recommends as well. =)

Try Aussie, Spray gel or Scrunch spray...at Wal-Mart. 1. Spray (a little) everywhere on your hair 2. bend over spray the tips then push it up or scrunch it 3. spray a little again.
hope I helped!
