ok well i am dying my hair a lighter color with one of those boxes you use at home. but i want to have like lowlights of my natural color. so does anyone have an idea on what i could do?

maybe try taking strands of your hair ((natural colored hair for the lowlights)) and somehow put them aside... then take the rest of your hair ((the hair that is going to be dyed)) and just dye those. so that way you end up with your lighter hair color, along with your natural hair color lowlights.

go to a hair place and lighten the top of your hair like a light color.

You could go to a salon and get lowlights after you dye your hair. i strongly do NOT recomend box highlights, i'v had bad experiences and sometimes it can dry out your hair. If you mess up it costs more at a salon to get it fixed than it does just to get highlights or lowlights. Usually 'Fantastic Sams' has good deals on highlights and low lights. you can find one near you here-
