Nadia answered Thursday August 10 2006, 5:18 am: i agree with the other advice, everyone else WILL be as nervous as you are. just be confident and go in there with an attitude that "i will make some new friends today" kinda thing. that will show as you walk in there and people will be attracted to it!
good luck!! [ Nadia's advice column | Ask Nadia A Question ]

im going to be a freshman too and at a new school...highschool.
so what im planning is to join alot of clubs and stuff
just relax and dont try to hard. because if you do people willthink your desperate or weird. =D i used to try very hard and people thought i was desperate. [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
uisforukelele answered Wednesday August 9 2006, 10:42 pm: okay, everybody else will probably be feeling as nervous as you are. just go up and start talking to people that look normal or like people that you would hang out with. just be like, "hey, my name is melody, i'm new here." it might be hard but a lot of people are really nice to new kids as long as they introduce themselves or whatever. just remember to smile and talk! talk about where you moved from, ask about how stuff works at your new school, just small talk and stuff. you can even talk about clubs you were in at your old school. but don't be antisocial! good luck :) [ uisforukelele's advice column | Ask uisforukelele A Question ]
