Wash them after every 2 or 3 times you use them and throw them away after about 3 weeks or so.

Cosmetic makeup sponges are disposable tools. Wash after every couple uses. Toss within 1 month, or when the sponge begins to tear.

Here is a guidline for all makeup & bactera.

Moop answered Wednesday August 9 2006, 12:00 am:
it depends on how clean you want to be (which translates to how clean you want your face and how much acne you want to have). you CAN use the same one for 3 weeks until it starts to crumble apart like tofu, but it's probably not good. if it sits covered in make-up it's a breeding ground for the bacteria you do not want on your face that you probably clean off. so you end up washing your face more often to be safe and getting dry skin which causes you to put on more foundation.

etc.

to be safe, change sponges every single day or every other day or use your hands to apply make-up. you'll be better off in the long run.

I use them for about a week and a half if I use foundation everyday. If you use it for too long it starts to not obsorb the foundation and it starts to come apart.
Hope I helped you.
