Spitting out food

Question Posted Thursday August 10 2006, 11:19 pm

My friend and I were talking the other day and the subject of food and weight came up. She says one way she looses weightand keeps it off and still gets to 'taste' whatever she wants is by chewing up the food and then spitting it out. Now, she doesnt do this for everything, just like chocolate and candy ect. Not like apples and everything healthy...but I was wondering if this really works, or does the fatty stuff still get in your body. Thanks.

she might get some of the stuff that is in the food, considering the fact that her saliva is breaking down some of the food and then carrying it down her throat when she swallows after spitting the food out. so basically, yes the fatty stuff still gets in your body.

but doing that for everything you eat is really unhealthy. it's gross, but if she's actually eating healthy foods, then i guess it's okay.

hope i helped!!

That is a disgusting habit and she shouldn't be doing nor getting you to get into doing it.

The one best way to loose weight is to eat healthy and exercise no chew, spit, chew, spit.

That is the most digusting thing I have hear and you shouldnt do it

I wouldn't think that the fatty substances would get in your body. Maybe just the sugar. But why would you want to do that to yourself?? That's torture! I don't suggest you try it. In fact, not eating substantial food may make you bloat and appear fatter. Sounds like an interesting concept, but I'd stick to eating normally!

That's like torture. I don't suggest any one do this. Make sure you eat lots of fruits and veggies, and once in a while indulge in desert. As long as you can control yourself, and don't eat it every day and in big amounts, it's fine. I think what your friend is doing is a little nonsensical, sorry.

Much Luck,
Teacup
