Lola answered Tuesday August 8 2006, 2:27 am: Everyone here will just answer and say the type of sport he plays, and the volunteering job he works ,and the book he reads. And thats exactly what i am going to say too. but then how does that help you. Why don't you think for awhile about something that you have always wanted to do.Is is possible that there is no sport you have always wanted to take up? no book you wanted to read? no part time job you wanted to work? No kind of school project ,activity, tutoring people? NO good movies you want to watch? No bake sales or garage sales which you could make and gain lots of money? NOthing you like to collect? No charity thingys you want to be a part off?
I am not just going to lay down some suggestions, and tell you to pick one, because this is not how it should be, but it should be your decision, and what you like, so if you have an answer to one of these questions, then i have solved your problem, but if you don't , then i am no counseller. XXoMo answered Tuesday August 8 2006, 12:44 am: Well,
During the day you can go swimming, go to the beach go to your friends house, learn to play an instrument, go to the movies etc.
When you are 14 you can start working at Publix.
Otherwise, when your older you can start working at coldstone. They get alot of money like $5 dollars an hour plus tips, so you can have spare money to spend.
Igotamonopoly answered Tuesday August 8 2006, 12:20 am: Well, I'm incredibly involved in my school. I do showchoir (singing and dancing at the same time) and will be class president for this year. During the year, i take academically rigorous courses, so I don't have much free time.
This summer, I went to sleepaway camp for a month and had a friend from out of state visit me for a week. The past 2 weeks and this week, I am volunteering as a camp counselor. It gives me experience realted to my potential major (education).
I suggest starting a business and volunteering different places. I volunteer 40 hours a week when I volunteer.
sunnyville answered Monday August 7 2006, 11:54 pm: Well as for searching for a job it's best to look for a local job so you don't have to be traveling far,it's good to look for a job on the internet or to go directly to apply for the job,but it should also be a job that will interest you, and that you can handle. As far as hobbies like go to a gym to stay fit or for the fun you should join an aerobic class also. There is a fun camp in Connecticut you can go to but I forgot the name of it,wow it was amazing it felt like a dream but anyways there are also in other places, try visiting your school for summer camp you can attend to or you can volunteer on shipping goods for the needy or fun stuff like decorating places like a club or other places for special events, and you could also join lots of clubs but choose one that is easy for you or that you set your mind to.I think it's really nice of you to volunteer at a hospital that's sweet. lilteacup answered Monday August 7 2006, 11:35 pm: I was reading Seventeen Magazine the other day (Christina Aguilera is on the cover) and inside they give good ideas of places that are best for teens to work at.
they listed
wet seal
applebee's
best buy
buil-a-bear
cold stone
hot topic
jamba juice
mariott
regal cinemas
ymca
While I was in school, I was constantly busy. I was class president, I did stage crew, and I was in a couple of clubs. It's a little bit of work, but it's fun, you get to meet people you may not usually talk to. Try to find a club that you have some interest in...and go for it.
