i need you guys to tell me everything you know about baseball. rules, teams, about the innings and runs and strikes and balls and all of that! please and thank you!!
All you have to remember is that the 1986 NY Mets played the greatest World Series Championship series EVER, and that the 1969 NY Mets are the greatest underdog team to win against a favorite in sports history.
O yea and that there is only one pitcher in this town (NYC) who deserves to wear no.41 on his jersey and it isn't Randy Johnson...it's Tom Seaver.
Some slang terms to use to make you look like you know what you're talking about-
Texas Leaguer- a small fly ball that drops between an infielder and and outfielder
Baltimore Chop- A ball that is hit and bounces off the ground leading it to go very high in the air and staying in the infield.
Cheddar- Fast pitch "He threw him some cheddar"
Ribeye steaks- Runs Batted In
Interstate- Refers to a batter whose average is in the .100's "He's hitting .145 so he's on the interstate."

rules- theire different for every league but some are like ball is dead one the pitcher has the ball in the pitcher circle.
teams- their is two teams and each team has about 10-20 players a catcher,pitcher,1st baseman who stands by 1st base. 2nd baseman who stands about halfway between 2nd&1st base. a shortstop who stands about half way between 3rd&2nd base. a 3 rd baseman who stands by 3rd base. and outfield either 3or4 players for 3 players a right fielder who is between the 2nd baseman and the 1st baseman but further out. center field who is behind 2nd base but further out. and a left fielder who stands between the shortstop and 3 rd baseman but further out. for 4 players right field and left field are the same but there is a leftcenter and rightcenter and basically their names are self explanatory you sorta stand behind the 2ndbaseman but back more for right center and for leftcenter you stand behind the shortstop but more tords 2nd base.
innings-there are usually 7-9 innings unless you go into overtime which is caused when the teams are tied.
runs- a run is scored everytime a player steps on home coming home from 3 rd.
strikes- most strike zones are from the players knees to his or her shoulders and about the width of home plate but a little bigger. some umps have different strike zones just ask them.
3strikes=1out. and if there is 3balls and 0 strikes dont swing on the next pitch its likely to be a ball.
balls- when the pitch is not in the strike zone. 4balls=a walk so you get to walk to 1st base.
count- if the ump says the count is 3and0 he means 3 balls 0 strikes. if the count is 3and2 its 3 balls 2 strikes which is also a full count.
