OMG, it does not spread from the fluid in the puss. Trust me, I had a huge, very infected case all over my legs and other parts of my body, so bad I had to go to an emergency clinic for it. The fluid in the bumps is mainly water, it is not the oil from the ivy plants.

If it itches, ice it and take Benadryll. If after a week it keeps spreading, go to the doctor. And it's fine to take a Popsicle stick and push all the fluid out of the bumps, because once poison ivy rashes dry up, they go away a lot faster. WARNING: It's gross to pop the blisters though. Ick. But go for it if you want quicker relief.

Dont pop the bump. its puss probly and poison ivy spreads so if you get that stuff of your hand and touch your other body parts chances are your going to get it there also.

If you have a drug store in town or close to home then go and they have tons of over the coutner meds that you can simple buy and help with the poison ivy.

Also if you go to any store with a Pharmacy they can recommend meds that work and will help heal right away.

DON'T POP IT. if you pop it;; it will spread even more. DON'T DO IT. use anti-itch meds. so you own't scratch.

there are plenty of over the counter meds for poison ivy... benadryl makes some really good stuff, they have a spray and an ointment that work well. but honestly, the best thing that works for me is calamine or caladryl lotion. they dry the bumps out. i like to clean them with alcohol before a new application, that helps dry them out more too. and whatever you do, DONT POP THEM. the oozy stuff inside of them makes them spread. if over the counter stuff doesnt work after a week, see a doctor and get a prescription.

I know two ways you can get rid of that.....either by applying the crushed leaves of jewelweed or you can do these 3 simple steps
1)rub alcohol on the infected area
2)rinse with water
3)then wash your hands with soap and warm water
keep doing this for a week and youll see the results

Zanfel, Ivy Cleanse Towelettes, and Tecnu Extreme Poison Ivy Scrub are available over-the-counter. rubbing alchohal helps too. ya if it's spreading then that means you are touching it. don't pop it cause then the oils will get all over your skin and it will spread. Calamine lotion helps...ice helps. without treatment it should clear up in about 2 weeks. =]]]

UHHH.
most deff. dont keep touching it.
its going to spread. the fluid, i believe thats puss, love. you're probaly infecting it, also causing it to spread. If its hot & red. then its most deff. infected.
uhh, you should go to a doctor? it needs cream. that the doctor will prescribe.

yeahhh. hope that helped, bye
