well, i'm almost 14 and i've never used a tampon. i've had my period since i was 11. i always wear pads and i almost put a tampon in once but i got scared that i wouldn't be able to get it in. is this weird? should i try again? and isn't it true that some girls just can't get it in because their hymen (or something??) is too tough? please help me!!!

I didn't have it in right. And plus, you can get TSS from it (thats a disease caused by the bacteria of having a tampon in for too too long) I think that pads are uncomfortable and gross. I find tampons hard to put in and they hurt a little at first.. Tampons can pop your cherry though so tell your mom if your going to wear them so she won't think something else happened when you go to the doctors lol... All you have to do is stand up, put the tampon at a 45 degree angle and push it up. It will hurt at first, and it will take a few tries to get it right but you will know when its in enough ( when you can sit down correctly and it doesnt hurt. )

good luck on everything :) [ xTakemeawayox's advice column | Ask xTakemeawayox A Question ]

If you need help just ask your mom or search for instructions at google.Make sure you get the round applicator kind. [ xlaurenxo's advice column | Ask xlaurenxo A Question ]
