A great science fair project is making a Rube Goldberg machine.

A Rube Goldberg machine is a machine that has many different steps using ordinary items to get something simple done.

For my Rube Goldberg machine, I cracked a nut. A let a ball go, pop a balloon, let another ball roll down a series of crazy levers, and after a few more steps hit a hammer to fall onto a nut to crack it!

This project teaches you a lot about physics, is very entertaining for crowds and is sure to impress your teacher!

Hopefully this site gives you some ideas!

Good Luck!

theres this project you can do to define what density is. The ingerdiants you will need are....

1)2 big jars(each big enough for a pepsi can to be in)

2)one ordinary pepsi

3)one DIET pepsi

you will put the cans of pepsi in the jars and fill the jars with water....you will realize that the diet pepsi floats while the ordinary one sinks....that is because DIET pepsi is less dense than ordianry pepsi

i know exactly what you are going through. my bio teacher put us through (u know what) this past year and made us do crazy things, I can't tell you my topic because my friend and i are still going to continue it but lets jsut say it took work to be done every night and going to the lab a couple times a week to deel with some blood testing. things that you might want to do are go to some local labs. ask around, maybe a friends parent works somewhere that you could go to. you dont want to come up with your idea first, what you want to do is first see what resourses are available. another thing you might want to do is do a hot topic. you could do something on dna fingerprinting and immigration. but if you want to go far with your project you definately want a hot topic, maybe aids or HIV. look in magazines like news week or time and see what is in the science sections, and make sure to check out your local labs!

this i what my friend and i did and we went all the way to states!

hope this helps:)
