hey i really need your help. i have an ipod mini and i dont have the manual. i bought it like 2 years ago. sometimes when my ipod is turned off and on hold ill hear it playing a random song and it will still be on hold. but it doesnt turn off so it wastes batteries. its sooooo annoying! help

well my friend has an ipod nano and i have an ipod shuffle . my friends sometimes take a minute to turn off sometimes it helps if you like stop it first best buy circuit city target and people who know electronics will no more. if you need more help from me ask again and i'll try to help!!

Check to see that you do not have an alarm set to play music at a certain time. Go to the clock to check.

Also, back up all of your data and try updating your iPod. To do that you put in the CD that came with the iPod and plug in your iPod and look for the iPod updater (which should already be on your computer anyway). After its updated, put all of your music back on it and see if it still does that.

If that doesn't work you should call up the company and see whats up. I havn't heard of the problem though, but updating and reseting it completley should work, sorry if it doesn't. Hope that helped and good luck.

Is it possible that you left it playing by accident, and then put it on hold? Also it might not be that you ipod is totally off it could just be "sleeping".if you take it off of hold and try to trun it off and it still doesnt work for you then you will want to try this:

and if that still doesnt do it for you then i would take it to the apple store near you and have them check it out or i think you can ship it to apple directly too.
