BitsandPieces answered Wednesday August 23 2006, 2:22 pm: Hair is alive? Well, I suppose she means you are damaging it. Straightening should only be done by a professional who is experienced, and over the counter products for straightening are probably the worst. Would you rather have curly hair in good condition and manage it with good products or would you rather continue to straighten it and live with frizz and lots of damaged split ends? You need to have trims at least every 4-6 weeks until you grow out some healthier hair, and you might consider going as short as you dare to rid the majority of the overprocessed hair. Many women want what they don't have. We all have been through that and damaged either hair or skin in an attempt to get what we don't naturally own. Try to play up what you do have and be proud of your wild locks. With the right haircut, a pro should be able to give you a look that makes the most of your hair texture and frames your face perfectly. Keep searching for the right stylist and when you find one, stick with him/her. [ BitsandPieces's advice column | Ask BitsandPieces A Question ]

abovelove36 answered Tuesday July 25 2006, 12:38 pm: ok. most shit like this doesnt work, but this stuff really does. after you get out of the shower put a towel on your head for like 5-10 minutes. take the towel off, stand with your legs apart and bend your knees. put your hands on your knees, tighten the muscles in your neck, and basically headbang. just whip your head down so it kinda hits the floor, then back up to the position you started in. the first time you do it your gunna be a little dizzy. do that like 8 times. then, brush your hair and do it again. your hair will eventually get damp. its like blow drying it without the blowdryer. and the heat, which makes your hair more frizzy.
when its damp (more wet than dry though) put this stuff by pantene in it. the despenser is white and blurry clear kinda with green on it. its called frizz control straightening creme. squeez it in to your hand. its thick like moisturizer so dont use a lot or else your hair will be absolutly DISGUISTING. trust me. probably about the size of 2 chocolate chips. rub your hands together to make a thin layer of it, then run your hands through your hair like you would do if you were trying to get knots out without a brush. dont put a lot of pressure on your head though, it means your globbing it onto your roots which causes the disguisting-ness. put it in like you would mouse or gel. it says comb it through but you dont have to, i think it looks better of you dont. it works amazingly. i use it all the time, coming back from the beach or pool. it still works.and it smells really good too. it looks like your hair dries naturally straight. since you said your hair is frizzy, when its closer to being absolutly dry you'll probably want to use and insanely small amount on your fingertips and put a VERY small amount of pressure on your roots so they dont get all l;asdfjlasdfhshd-ish.
brookagurl answered Tuesday July 25 2006, 11:33 am: you need to get what is called a "GLOSSING" at the salon...it typically lasts approx. 2 months. It helps quite a bit. You can also do weekly home treatments like mayonaise works really well but make sure you rinse well after(shampoo twice). You can also get a deep conditioner and put in on your whole head of hair loosely clip up your hair, wrap plastic wrap around your head and then wrap a hot towel on your head for 20 min. The heat will deepen the conditioning experience for you. Also try a heat tamer...TreSemme has a good spray. Hope these help. [ brookagurl's advice column | Ask brookagurl A Question ]

OHilovetravis answered Tuesday July 25 2006, 12:03 am: Hey Girlie.
Well I HATE to say it's not bad. Techniqually depending on the hair product's you use.
Firstly I would like to add my friend has naturally curly hair like me. We both straighten our hair an believe me we have had bad hair days from the frizz to the dryness.
Now I would suggest CHANGING your hair product I would use *Matrix sleek shampoo && conditioner* because it will help give your hair the right protein exspecially for straghten.
Then after you straighten your hair I would suggest using *John Frieda Frizz Ease Hair Serum* believe me it work's wonders and does magic to hair!!
Anyway Hope I helped ya out girlie xoxox any more questions or anything just message me an I will be happy to help ya outtt!!

ashlynn answered Monday July 24 2006, 11:43 pm: Try deep conditioning to help the frizz and rinse your hair in cold water. If that doesn't tame the frizz, try frizz-ease. It does help. Trust me my hair is frizz, I mean frizzy. Straigthening helps at the moment, but only makes hair frizzier. [ ashlynn's advice column | Ask ashlynn A Question ]
