Question Posted Sunday July 23 2006, 3:07 am

My mom had alot of stretch marks when my dad met her and he had no problem but I'm still worried. Please help!

ahh oh my god i have the same exact thing!
and im pretty skinny
i hate it so much
i try so hard to cover it up
and i feel super uncomfortable
the worse part is its on my breasts too!
i've heard it goes away though after years.
and you can buy cocoa butter so help them heal.
dont stress it
as much as it bothers you, you're perfectly normal =)

Hey I'm neither fat or skinny too. I talked to my mom about it earlier actually. It's completely normal for ANY girl of ANY size. Almost every girl has stretch marks from growing no matter what they do! Don't worry about it - they will eventually turn white as you get older. I've had mine since I was 12 too so don't even worry about it. :]

hey. i have the same problem! i'm not really fat or skinny either. if the problem for you is not being comfortable with your body, then there's a few things you could do. what i do is i wear short-shorts. not too short, but short enough that i can see my stretchmarks. i wear them around the house, and after i do, i feel more comfortable. you may not realize it, but a lot of people don't notice you have them. it's just that you're concious of it, and you know they're there. a lot of people don't know it. so just pretend they're not there. they're actually natural. so yeah.

hope i helped.

I have that exact same problem! I'm neither fat nor thin, but I still have them near my upper leg/hip/butt. Don't get discouraged. Nobody can see them. Hope I helped.

Vikki27 answered Sunday July 23 2006, 5:08 pm:
There are a *lot* of women out there who have stretchmarks and almost every one of them is worried that men will turned off by them as a result.

In actual truth, surveys have been completed which show that things like stretchmarks aren't even noticed by the majority of men! Half of the world's married couples consist of husbands that don't even realise their wives have stretchmarks!

Unfortunately, stretchmarks are a natural part of growing up. It sucks but it's true. We are all destined to get them on our legs, bums and boobs and there's very little we can do to help it. However, if you are very concerned, medical research shows that the use of cocoa butter helps to reduce the visibility of stretchmarks so if they are noticeable, please bear in mind first of all that time will allow them to fade from being a reddish purple to being white and that cocoa butter may help just to reduce the discolouration. It will not get rid of them completely.

Please don't worry. If you find a man worth showing your body to in the first place, I can promise you he really won't care about any stretchmarks, scars or blemishes that are on it.

"Conceited, snobby, thinks they're big and bad" guys would probably think of it as a turn off. But any nice decent guy could care less. If they bother you that bad, they have skin cream to help reduce the appearance. You could try that?

Most likely your dad loved your mom so much, that it wasn't even an isse. Like I said, most decent guys could care less.

Thats just it! If a guy judges you by the feact that u have strech marks and doesnt like you, he doesnt deserve you. Find a guy who wants you for you and all of you, not just some of you. If its that case then he really doesnt like you for you.
Hope I helped and made sense!

DefinedEyes answered Sunday July 23 2006, 11:16 am:
It all depends on the person,
it matters the most on the INSIDE of a person,
not the outside, but if you cant stand the stretch marks, you can buy like cocoa butter lotions that make them appear less and less :]
