Birthday Party With Different Friends

Question Posted Thursday July 20 2006, 12:08 pm

(14/f) I have three really close friends. One of them does not know the other two because i went to Elementary school with her, but Middle School with the other two. I am having my birthday party this Saturday and I just want a small party with my three good friends, but because they don't know eachother it might be awkward.
I want to go to a Fondue Restarant and then maybe a movie or come back to my house and swim. Do you think any of this will be awkward or wierd? My elementary friend is really different from my Middle school friends but I would really like for them to at least get along.

You should invite all three of your best friends to celebrate your birthday with you.

I'm betting they'll get along just fine. They all have at least one thing in common with each other... they're all friends with YOU! I should think that they have many other things in common as well.

So relax and enjoy your special day with you friends.

Happy Birthday!

it might not be awkward. you just have to find something to talk about that you can all participate in the conversation. for example, stay away from things like "oh remember that time in elementery school" or "oh remember that time in middle school" because then somebody's going to feel left out. and if you do talk about that, then say stories about it but don't just laugh..... u noe what i mean? but, you know them all pretty well i suppose so find things they have in common! u never know, they might all become really good friends!

hope i helped

(p.s. happy birthday!)

It may be a bit akward. I've been in the situation of your elementary friend, your middle school friends, and you at least once before. And from experience meeting new people and mixing your friends isnt so bad. Introduce them and include all three in everything dont single them out with too many personal experiences that could get sticky. It'll all work out even if some moments are akward and all three may even become friends! I hope i helped and your party sounds like a great idea! I hope you have a great time and a great birthday! Happy B-day by the way.
