Since its two months dont go super big on it. You should still get him something with meaning behind it though, showing how much you are. A card with a the lyrics a special song, his favorite, or just any love song inside and a picture of the two of you also. Be creative and have fun :]

If you get anything, he will be happy. I'm a guy, and it doesn't matter what girls give their boyfriends. As long as it isn't a giftcard, money, or anything they definitely don't like (you shouldn't buy him a movie if you aren't sure that he would like it. Same with books and CD's).

Here are some ideas, but again, it does not really matter what you give him:
~a movie you know he likes
~a book you know he likes
~a CD you know he likes
~a card
~a hat
~a shirt
~a keychain
~a ticket to a movie, game, or concert
~a snowglobe
~sunglasses
~a necklace or bracelet
~a game (board or video)

Avoid:
~money
~giftcards
~flowers

Well, im not going to knock on you for saying you already got something, haha because Ive done the same thing. Its hard picking out stuff for boyfriends, only because they dont like cute things like girls do. Since its two months and not one year, dont make it something INCREDIBLY great. You could maybe buy him a t-shirt or something along the lines of that? Or, if you want to be sweet, write him a nice letter and buy him some cologne or something? Hope this helped! Good Luck! :)
