Period.

Question Posted Monday July 17 2006, 12:55 pm

I first got my period about a year ago, and I was 13. Since then it's been super irregular and I bleed for up to like 10 days. Is it normal?

Don't worry, I'm exactly the same way.

Most teenage girls are.

You'll probably be irregular for five years or so.

You might not have a period every month, and it will vary in length.

It's completely normal, you shouldn't be worried at all. I know a girl who got her period when she just turned eleven. She's fifteen now and sometimes still misses a month.

Just remember to keep tampons and/or pads with you all the time in your purse; just in case. When you go back to school, you might want to keep a jacket or an extra pair of underwear and pants in your locker - also just in case.

It is normal to have irregular periods. However, if it is really worrying you then why not have a chat to your doctor maybe he can help put your mind at ease.

Yes it's normal.
It depends on the person on how long they have it.
Some have it for 14 days.
But you're irregular
and it may change to 7 days in a couple of months..

I have had mine for about 4 years. Mine usually lasts 9 days.
And I'm pretty healthy. :]
