I just dyed my hair a dark red/burgundy color and I really like it. How can I make it last as long as possible before having to color it again? Any tips or advice much appreciated!!
everlastingdreamer answered Monday July 17 2006, 11:24 am: Use shampoo's that help keep the color in your hair, and don't use shampoo to often, and if you do a lot of swimming in chlorinated pools it will more than likely eat away at the dye, so if you do try to stay away from them if you can. Imperialistic answered Monday July 17 2006, 3:25 am: I know, my hair is red too and red is the hardest colour to keep.
I suggest using shampoo only 2-3 times a week and conditioning otherwise.
Use a good shampoo and conditioner (I use Dumb Blonde by Bedhead TIGI)
Use a protector before your straighten or blow dry (Catwalk Fashionista Smooth and Shine by TIGI)
Use a toner (Silver) once a week to bring the colour out again. [ Imperialistic's advice column | Ask Imperialistic A Question ]
Lucky answered Monday July 17 2006, 12:49 am: The thing is try not 2 wash out your hair as often. (as gross as that sounds) the more you wash it, it'll be gone sooner. You can also buy the special shampoos. For the best kind, i dont no, but you can search the web. hope it lasts!
