dance

Question Posted Wednesday July 12 2006, 6:11 pm

I was wondering if someone could explain to me what modern dance is like. I tried looking online but i never really got much of an explination. I'm thinking its kind of like a lyrical but with alot more of like body moventment kind of things (like kinda yogaish moves).

I would prefer and explanation over just site links please

A style of theatrical dance that rejects the limitations of classical ballet and favors movement deriving from the expression of inner feeling.

It is like lyrical but with more earthy-not-so-ballet-and-structured-movements. The music is the same way.
