Hi there, strike up a conversation first by saying hi. This should draw their attention to you and they should respond. Then say something like whats your day been like today then? They respond, do you see how it goes? Here is three tips when talking to the opposite sex:

1. Compliments
2. Open questions
3. Small talk

If you ask open questions then she would be able to answer your question with more detail and you could follow up her answer and start a conversation. Also lots of eye contact and just talking alot, then ask her if she would like to hang out sometime. Daniel.

You can start with simple things in class. For example, you could ask a cute girl next to you "What's the date?" or "Did we have homework last night?" This will get them to notice you more. Then you can start getting into more conversational topics, like movies that have come out or the school sports team. Next, you could start saying "hi" if you see these girls in the hallways. Don't force anything though if it seems awkward. Just let things flow. Once you start talking, things should come very natural. Also, you can't be expected to be perfect the first time, so the more experience you get, the better you'll be.

good luck- :)

Too many people suffer from this problem. I, for one used to.
You just really need to overcome the fear of being shy and thinking you don't have anything good to say. I used to think the same, but everything you have to say is valuable and people WILL appreciate it.
Try getting close to any girls you like. Ask them what they're into. If it's the same as you, ask if they'd like to hang out. Friendships and relationships will soon blossom from there! ;]
Hold your head up high and don't be afraid to speak. It will get so much easier.
Join clubs in and out of school with friends you already have. It's fun too.
Best of luck.

You can try extracurricular activities when school starts again. Like..

- Yearbook Commitee [sp?]
- Drama Club
- Spanish/other foreign language Club
- Pep Squad [xD]
- Sports
- Choir

Or, you can try going to a day camp. You can meet lots of new people.

Hope I helped!
