It's good that you are going to see a doctor, that's the right answer.
But as for things that can cause green poo... There is a blue dye used in some foods and drinks that can cause bright green poo.
The drinks are usually "grape" flavored drinks, like grape Gatorade, Kool-Aid, or that really dark mountain dew which is actually a very dark grape. Also foods I know that will do this include Fruit Loops or the store-brand equivalent. Any brightly colored breakfast cereal that has blue or purple or green colors in it, can cause green poo. i would say its just a stomach bug. i had it and it was all better within 24 hours.
before you see a doctor a would wait a few days because its prob just a virus that will pass soon.
Nallie answered Wednesday July 5 2006, 9:01 pm: Things that can cause this are iron pills or even vitamins with iron, or pepto bismol. I imagine that certain food colorings or dye can cause this too. If you didn't consume anything on this order, yes it's best to see the Dr. [ Nallie's advice column | Ask Nallie A Question ]
thelaura answered Wednesday July 5 2006, 8:08 pm: You say you're eating "healthy" food. Is any of this food green? Foods rich in iron can also make it green. Apparently, it can even be caused through dehydration. It is good you're seeing a doctor. Chances are, it's nothing to worry about at all. Good luck!
