a long time ago, i think i read some sort of health article that said that when people work out their abdominal area, it stunts your growth. does anyone know that for sure? i've stopped working out my stomach because i'm already fairly short but i wanted to be sure.
thelaura answered Wednesday July 5 2006, 6:14 pm: I've just done a bit of research on this and yes, it is false. It was thought to be related to lifting weights a while back, but nothing was proved. So don't worry and don't let it put you off working those stomach muscles!! [ thelaura's advice column | Ask thelaura A Question ]

It sounds like the "can working out stunt my growth?" its not true at all.
Their are so many athletes who started working out when they are young and look at most of the basketball players are tall and fit.
Exercising like that, is good so teens grow up with stronger muscles.
You can read baout it here.
