openthefridge answered Wednesday July 5 2006, 8:32 am: yes you can get pregnant 1 week before your period. you can even get pregnant DURING your period, which is why u must always use protection. It does not mean you will have a mis carriage. Miscarriages are caused by problems in the womb, or if the mother falls over, and injures the baby. When you are pregnant, you do not have periods again until you give birth.
hope i helped!

xostarbrightbaby answered Tuesday July 4 2006, 8:35 pm: There is a higher change of getting pregnant because it was around the time of your period. It doesn`t mean your going to have a misscarrage. If your still curious buy a pregnancy test. ♥ [ xostarbrightbaby's advice column | Ask xostarbrightbaby A Question ]
