Sand in swimsuit!

Question Posted Tuesday July 4 2006, 3:56 am

I have a light blue swimsuit but it has sand stuck in the material. It is noticable.. is there anyway I can get it out?

I've tried stretching the suit and rubbing it to try to remove sand but it is wrecking the shape and takes a long time.

Thanks!

Another way of removing very fine black sand (ingrained) into your bikini, is to use sellotape / or a sticky roller.

Stretch the material to open the fibres and press the sticky tape against the material (when stretching the material, some sand feel out). This really works! I thought my new bikini was ruined, but have got most of the sand out.

You might need to test a small part of the material first to make sure it doesn't damage the garment.

it should come out when you wash it [remember to turn it inside out]

What about rubbing the suit together underwater or hang it up so that the sand can fall out (turn it inside out)

in addition try moving the sand through the suit to an easier place to get it out
