Question Posted Thursday June 29 2006, 2:34 pm

I heard that honey helps take away zits? I want to try it but I am to scared that it will not work & might make it worse...True? & Does anyone know anything else that works that I can just use from HOME? & the honey...Is that just honey from HOME or do you have to buy a special kind?

Female/17

Honey does not help at all. It just softens the skin. I've had the same problem, and truthfully scrubs and cleansers dont really help. When you see a pimple starting to show up, try putting toothpaste to stop it from growing or getting redder. A healthy diet also helps. Wash your face two times a day with Aveeno or Dove soap. They tend to dry the skin, gettin rid of all the oil clogging the pores. Dont over wash it though, it'll worsen it. Mostly dont touch your face at all. Wash your hands a lot too.
Hope that helps

no i dont think that works.... no promises though...

you can put honey on your lips to make them softer though.

as for zits just get face wash (i'd suggest biore, ph20, or aveeno) and make sure you dont put too much lotion on or it will make it more oily.

:)

ok first of all i have no idea if honey really works but you can use tooth paste or Arm and Hammer/baking soda. If you use the baking soda first get a little and wet it until its forms into a gew and put it on the pimple then you wait for it to dry and take it off.It minimizes the pimple and takes away some of the redness. good luck
