I desperately need help getting motivated to run. I love running at the track or on the running trails with my team during the season, but in the two week off season, I cant get myself to do it. I stay in shape by biking and horseback riding (gets you strong legs which is very important in running) and swimming. Does anyone have any tips on how to get motivated and stay motivated?

Mollysie answered Tuesday July 11 2006, 10:28 pm: Well I love running to, but I'm not on a team so I'm going to try my best to help. Do you have a dog or maybe a friend you know that has a dog. Well you can run around with the dog which is fun and it keeps you running. Or maybe you can make up a plan for yourself and reward yourself when you stick to the plan. Time yourself so you try to beat your time. Maybe you can try rollarblading or biking, there both extremely good for leg muscles. Good Luck! I hope I helped! I love feedback good and bad!

You talk as you're running and you like it more. Also, try other sports such as soccer, it's really helpful!
hope ive givin you good advice
