PunkieFreak4690 answered Monday June 26 2006, 1:32 pm: I know how you feel. I use to wear liquid eye-liner but stopped because it would also smear or get into my eyes and cause irritation. But the best thing to do is put in the liquid eye-liner but put it on carefully and slowly, then let it dry before doing anything else, and don't put in a lot. An alternative eye-liner could be using the pencils (safer and easier), if that becomes an option to you. [ PunkieFreak4690's advice column | Ask PunkieFreak4690 A Question ]
kristen22 answered Monday June 26 2006, 3:25 am: To avoid it running into your eye and getting all over the place, after you have put on foundation, use powder foundation to and brush that over your lids. Makes it tons easier to apply liquid eyeliner that wont run. Another thing to make sure of, when using liquid eyeliner, you can't go for the cheap one, that quarantees right there for it to run. Almay, Avon, CoverGirl and Maybelline make good liquid eyeliners that wont get all over the place.
Good Luck.~ [ kristen22's advice column | Ask kristen22 A Question ]

orphans answered Monday June 26 2006, 12:26 am: Dear Friend,
Your best tools are a steady hand and a quality brand of eye liner. Start from the inner-most corner of your eye and follow the lash line out, keeping your eye wide open. When applying to the top lid, keep your eye firmly closed, and gently pull the lid outward to make a taut base. This should help to eliminate smearing.
Apply eye makeup prior to any under-eye concealer or foundation, so that if accidents do happen, you won't ruin your work. Keep cotton buds and makeup remover on hand for situations such as these.
magnificent_x answered Monday June 26 2006, 12:25 am: you're supposed to keep your eye open, it's supposed to make it easier to follow the curve of your lid.. but i personally can't do it,so if that fails i find that it helps to pull your eyelid tight from the outer corner (when your eye is closed). try and keep the line thin, also keep your eye closed for a little while, so it can dry. it's really a trial and error type of thing, you know, practice makes perfect. someone1234 answered Monday June 26 2006, 12:22 am: Yea it can be a pain cant it? Well you have to have a steady hand to o this, and practice makes perfect. What I do is make sure my eye is closed well and use my finger to stretch it to the side a little then with my other hand starting from the center I go out to the end as far as I like. As far as it going into your eye thats probably cause it is not fully closed or!!! because there is too much of the liquid on the eyeliner. Keep practiceing =P [ someone1234's advice column | Ask someone1234 A Question ]
