Wet 13/f

Question Posted Tuesday June 20 2006, 3:30 pm

Okay, this sounds really gross.

Lately, I've had a LOT of discharge, way more than I usually have. It makes it look like I've wet myself a little bit, when I haven't. It happened about a week ago. My period is gonna start in a week or so. I'm not sexually active & I'm not doing anything that would make it more heavy.

1. What is the cause of this?
2. How can I stop it?

kthx.

its your body getting ready to menstruate- nothing to worry about- it happenes to everyone- just worse on some girls- i would suggest wearing a pantyliner when this happens. and it usually does happen a week or so before your period. hope i helped.

My friend recently recorded a seminar she attended and this was a topic. It might be an infection (get that checked) and it can also be the period coming. You can wear panty liners till yoou get checked.

The more your body changes, the more you notice the wetness and odor. You're not alone. Fact is, normal vaginal discharge is your body's way of cleansing itself. But there are lots of other reasons why you experience wetness:

Excess perspiration
Discharge from hormonal fluctuations
Your period
Sexual activity
Vaginal infections

What is normal?
Normal vaginal discharge is typically clear, milky white or slightly yellow and odorless. There is also no excessive itching or burning associated with it.

What is not normal?
If you find the odor is really offensive and is accompanied by abnormal discharge you may have an infection and should see your doctor.

Keeping the vaginal area dry can be helpful in controlling wetness and odor. Vagisil Deodorant Powder is a great solution. It contains cornstarch to absorb the wetness and help prevent chafing. And its Odor-Blocking formula actually keeps odor from happening so you feel dry and fresh.

well if you havent started your period for the 1st time then you might start soon.
and dont worry its normal, its just your bodys way of getting ready for your period.
i dont think there is any way to stop it, you could go to a gyno. i went to one and its a little awkward but i got through it.
if anything i'd wear a panty liner for a while. but be sure to change them

hope things work out.
