These are bermudas, they're not shorts or capris, but right in the middle. If its going to be a little colder at night if you're still at the party, you won't get as cold with these if you're wearing shorts.

Then wear a cute summery top like a cami or a t-shirt with a cool print on it. I wouldn't reallly worry too much about your hair and makeup...just go for a natural look. Also wear flip flops because they are comfy and cute. If you want accessories i would try a bright colored bracelet or necklace.
LoveNJstyle answered Friday June 16 2006, 3:21 pm: If its a party, don't try way too hard to look too much like a good girl just to please his parents. i'm not saying look like a slut but if you wear a long skirt and a long sleeve shirt... they'll think you are trying too hard.
i say go with a cute khaki shorts and a cute tshirt or a jean mini with a polo. if it's cold out wear jeans and a shitr with a jacket over it.
just make sure nothing is too short or skin tight and you should be fine. <3 [ LoveNJstyle's advice column | Ask LoveNJstyle A Question ]

partygurl24 answered Friday June 16 2006, 1:52 pm: I think that you should wear jeans, a tee-shirt with a blazer and nice jewelry. Also, you could wear like flip flops or something. You don't want to get too dressed up because it's just a birthday party. I hope you have a great time at the party and I hope that you make a good impression on his parents as well. I hope I helped! cheburashka answered Friday June 16 2006, 12:41 pm: wear cute jeans or a skirt that reaches at least right above your knees. if you wear a tank top, make sure you wear something that would cover your shoulders, like a short cardigan. basically, whatever you wear, make sure that not too much skin is showing. HardxcorePunkLover answered Friday June 16 2006, 12:39 pm: Well, here are some of my ideas::
Short skirt - You could wear it maybe half way down the length from your knee to all the way to the end of your leg. Make sure it does rise up or curl up so you aren't showing anything!
Long skirt - one that maybe goes to your knees or lower. They are bohemian looking and they are very flattering. They also are in right now so you'd have a good deal with that.
Jeans - You can wear nice jeans, holes are optional. Sometimes they make them look a little more trashy. Make sure they are nice & clean, & they would look good as well.
Shirt - You can wear like a nice top without it looking slutty. They have a ton at Khol's & Target!
