So I read this website that said as soon as you get your period you should go to a gyno but i am only 13 and i have gotten mine, but the thought of going to a gyno scares me because that it the most awkward thing i can possibly think of, going to a random hospital naked and sitting in stirrups? Ummmm no thanks! Is it really weird?

My mom told me that guy doctors are more gental becuase they dont know how it feels and woman doctors arent because they know what its like. I personally, would want a woman doctor, because i think it would be awkward with a guy doctor. If your not comfertable with it yet, jsut wait. If you start having sex or somthing abnormal happens with you then i suggest you see a gynocoligest.

It's not all that much weird, but it hurt really bad when they gave me a pap smear. When you do go, just make sure you have a girl doctor do it. You should also go if you are thinking of having sex and want to ask some questions. Just because you started your period does not mean you have to go.
There isn't anything to be afraid of though, it's normal to be a little nervous but I assure you that they make it as comfortable as possible and there is nothing to stress over. [ Tulipg17's advice column | Ask Tulipg17 A Question ]
