What are some brands of mascara that make eyelashes REALLY long? I have an okay mascara by Clinique, but it gets kind of gloppy. So could you write if you have any preferable types that fit the description?

jackie16 answered Sunday June 11 2006, 9:32 pm: what works really well is to put on a primer, and then put on your mascara.
primer is a white mascara that you put on first, it lengthens your lashes so that when you put on your normal mascara over it your lashes look longer.
you can buy the primer separately or they make mascaras with 2 ends, one with regular and one with the white primer. you can get these anyplace, like cvs, sephora, clinique, and theyre probaly around 6-15 dollars [ jackie16's advice column | Ask jackie16 A Question ]

xxoBriannax answered Saturday June 10 2006, 4:54 pm: Volum' Express Turbo Boost Mascara (Maybeline). It's kind of expensive I think around 8-9 dollars, but it is worth it.
There's another Sky High Curves (Maybeline)- It is $4.99.
To make your mascara not clumpy, apply one layer to each eye and wait about 20 seconds for it to dry then apply another one. If you allow it to dry, you won't mess up the coat you just put on and it won't get all clumpy. [ xxoBriannax's advice column | Ask xxoBriannax A Question ]
Sherry answered Saturday June 10 2006, 4:41 pm: Lash Stylist by Maybeline (This is a good one, but the thing is that in order to get it to be long you'll have to take your time with applying the mascara. It takes a while but the outcome is great)
Fabulash by Revlon (Awesome, works fast, definatley reccommend it when you dont have time to sit and wait for lash stylist)
Vikki27 answered Saturday June 10 2006, 3:50 pm: The best mascara I have found is the Rimmel Volume Flash Mascara. I only know that in the UK it is around £4.00, depending on what shop you buy it in. In the US, this should make it within your price range.
You say the mascara from Clinique gets 'gloppy', so I thought I would share this with you. If you place the mascara in warm to hot water for a minute before applying it, it should make it a little softer and less 'gloppy'. Also, try not to pump the wand in and out of the bottom part, as it is the introduction of air into the mascara that makes it dry up. [ Vikki27's advice column | Ask Vikki27 A Question ]
