ok so last month around like may 3rd i got my first period. and it lasted maybe like 5ish days. (but it was only really heavy about 3 days) anyway..about a week past after i got it..and then i got it again! i know that when you first get it, it's irregular, so do you think i will get it this month? i'm just really scared that i don't have it or get it on monday, because i am going to a waterpark with my 8th grade graduating class.if i do happen to get it, (which im really hoping i don't), what should i do? i haven't started using tampons yet. i dont know???? any advice? thank youu.

I would really talk to your mom or a close friend, or an older sister if you have one, about using tampons. It will make things so much easier for you. At first i was scared to use them.. but ehh theyre easy. Also, you know that your period stops in the water right? well, if you didnt know that now you do. So you could just stay in the water.. and when you are gonna eat or something, just put on a thin panty liner just for a little, then take it out when you wanna go back in.

I noticed the more I worry about when my period will show up, the worst it's timing will be. So just be prepared. Take pads or tampons in your purse. You can put on a pad before it starts to prevent any embarasing moments, but I do not recomend putting on a tampon unless you noticed it started or are sure its going to start that day. And if you never tried a tampon take a pad also, some people are uncomfortable with tampons and you will want to have a pad with you just incase. I have had mine for 3 years and I still don't know when I am getting it. If I were you, I would start using tampons to make things easier. Or, you can always use pads. You should bring a purse or something and bring pads or tampons with you on your trip. [ xxoBriannax's advice column | Ask xxoBriannax A Question ]
Teza answered Saturday June 10 2006, 1:30 pm: Periods are irregular and not always for people who just got it. Sometimes it will be one time, other times you might get it 3 times a month. So if you get discharge, start wearing pany liners. They're really thin and it won't get on your undies and if it starts to smell you can just throw it out and put in a new one. Since you haven't started using tampons yet, it will be a good idea if you swich to them now. They're not scary to put in, trust me. They don't hurt or anything and since you're going to be in water it's best if you wear one. You won't leak or anything but just make sure you change it every 2-3 hours. Here is a website that might help you learn more about tampons and there are pictures on how to use it. It's nothing gross though.

As for the waterpark, it stops while your in the water. If you do get it, either just stay in the water, or put in a tampon. It's easy to learn how to do it. If your period is irregular after a while, go to a doctor and they can put you on birth control so you do get it regularly. Hope this helps.
