first off your almost an adult! you should be able to date who ever you want to date. (idk if had extra info about him being a criminal but i am using what i found) i think your mother should respect that fact that you are an adult and that you are old enough to go out with who ever you want anad make the right decidion. yea your mom is protecting you but the only way you learn is not from success but from your mistakes. i would talk to her about it and tell her your point of view on this and listen to her point of view adn try to work it out. what ever happened to age is only a number.

I know you are feeling badly about this and you probably miss your boyfriend. But you should know your mom is protectig you. Sure, having been arrested before doesnt necessarily make you a horrible person but depending on the circumstances of his arrest, that could definitely worry any good parent-and rightly so.
You should tell your mom you understand why she did what she did and apologize for lying. Say you wont see him, and then DONT. Go out with someone your own age (and without a record), and have a good time. Once youre 18 or 19 maybe you could get back in touch with your BF.
But by that time, I'll bet you wont even want to.

Hey, first off, I wanted to say that you shouldn't be mad at your mom, because you disobeyed her, and your bf was a criminal, and she's just watching out for you. You can try talking to her and telling her 'hey mom, I'm sorry about what happened. I had no right to disobey you, I really hope that you can forgive me'. But you should probably stay away from him for now.

Good luck.
