Teza answered Monday June 5 2006, 4:58 pm: You can lose 10 pounds in 3 weeks quickly. One of the most common things you need to start with is your diet. I think you pretty much hear everyone saying that a good diet and exercise is the best thing and it's true. You have to cut back on junk food. You can still eat normal foods like whatever your mom makes for dinner but have a smaller porportion. Fast food has a lot of fried things which is so unhealthy. It's all fat and oil so stay away from that. Don't drink sodas and just try eating healthy. Veggies, fruits, water and such. Veggies don't have to be gross. Cook them all together and make something out of it. Try different recepies. So, besides the eating, exercises! Move around, run, walk, do whatever as long as you try to burn off more calories then you take it. Exercise for about an hour a day. Try sticking to a 2,000 calories a day. S_C answered Monday June 5 2006, 6:41 am: I'm going to tell you what just about any (sane) person on this site would say. Eath healthy and excercise. I suggest 30 minutes of any type of excercise each day, plus if you're a love of junk food, replace at least one or two unhealthy things you eat daily with something healthy. Now that it's summer time (well in 3 days for me) it will be easier to lose that weight because you'll be more active.
You've got to be willing to work to lose weight. But eating healthier and excercise - no matter what kind - will help you shed some poundage.
Running is one of the best types of excercise, but if you aren't a good runner or just can't do it, walk one or two miles a day. It's actually really simple to walk that much, I do it at least once a week without even realizing it, so think about how easily it can be. Or if you have a memebership to a Y, then use the workout room do two or three machines for 15 minutes each (do at LEAST a half hour of excercise a day but don't overdo it or wear(not sure proper spelling for this case of the word) yourself out.
Also don't expect too much of yourself. You probably won't lose more than 2-3lbs a week and that is okay. [ S_C's advice column | Ask S_C A Question ]
