Maybe like someone else said a few posts down, but you can carry around a little notebook or a little pack of postits, and the things that you put down [brush, scissors, ect] you can write, scissors - next to lamp, on top of nightstand. Something like that.

Maybe try and keep a list and tape it to your bedroom door or someplace where you'll know you'll see it. Whenever you put something somewhere. Write in on the list so that when you forget you can go back to the list and find out exactly where it is. Also, try saying "Okay..I'm putting my _____ here." Sometimes writing things out and saying things helps your mind to store information easier. Also, be REALLY REALLY organized and REALLY clean. It always helps if you are able to look around your room and RETRACE YOUR STEPS and find what you are looking for without digging through a whole bunch of stuff. I hope I helped and let me know how it goes! Good luck! - GC07

When you're puting something down, say to yourself (or say it in your mind) "I'm putting the *object* here, now." Verbalize what you are doing, and it might help you to remember later on. Training yourself to put things back where they belong can be a help, and if something doesn't really have a place, make one. Tell yourself that this is where this particular object goes and get used to where you're putting it. Also, tidy up! Make sure you're not going to lose things in piles of random objects like I do! =P

Hope that helped!
