I really dont like aim triton and i cant find a place to download a different version of aim any help? I want a good version.

Go to AIM.com and download AIM for windows 98. (That's the AIM that came before Triton)
I thought Triton was the lamest thing on the face of the earth (and it slowed my computer down like crazy) so that's what I did.

go to aim.com and click on the down arrow that says downloads and click windows ME and u could get 5.9 or go to oldaim.com or google aim 5.9

you can just use aim express.. if you want

i didn't like the new version either so I switched to a program called GAIM. I find that it takes some getting used to, because its slightly different than AIM. But in a lot of ways its better. You can set names for your friends so that you see their real name and not just their screen name
if you type GAIM into Google it should be the first one to come up.
