Question Posted Saturday May 27 2006, 7:11 pm

I think I may have an yeast infection but I'm too embarrassed to tell my mom so she can get me something for it. Is there any other way to get rid of it besides using creams..?

the best way i think is just to go to a clinic with a close freind or by yourself. but i dont see anything wrong with telling your mom in the frist place. people get it for no reason often. butttt if u are sexually active and your mom doesnt know then.. i can see why,.

You need to see a doctor... those creams are for women who experience recurring infections and have already talked with their doctor and had him/her recommend the over the counter creams. Are you sure it's a yeast infection? Because if it's just itching, that's a little more common and easier to treat (use pantiliners, don't use pantiliners, that sort of thing) but either way you should see someone. Don't be embarrassed, it's okay, really.

You can try the creams of course, I've never known anyone who had luck with them though.

More than likely you will have to visit a doctor and get something for it. Which will mean saying something to your mom.

They are very common and nothing to worry about. She won't think you've been up to something if that is your worry. :)
