so im sick of being overweight. im 13 and weigh 167lbs..sad i know..but anyhow does anyone have any tips for losing wieght?

if you have any exsercies please be specific=)

Small Frame- 120-133
Medium Frame- 130-144
Large Frame- 140-159

My oldest sister is trying to lose weight, so I asked her for some tips. Heres what she gave me.

*Drink water instead of soft drinks
*Do Situps, they help flatten your stomach
*Walk or Ride your bike more often
*Count Calaries (sp) you should only have 2,00 a day
*Swim, its fun and easy. (usually)
*Go Shopping at the mall, you have to walk a lot which burns calaries.
*Clean the house, its not fun, but you burn lots of cals, especially while vacumming.

Oh and heres the chart for a girl.
Height-Small Frame-Medium Frame-Large Frame
4'10- 102-111 - 109-121 - 118-131
4'11- 103-133 - 111-123 - 120-134
5'0 - 104-155 - 113-126 - 122-137
5'1 - 106-118 - 115-129 - 125-140

I know you're taller that that prob. so if you want the rest just let me know. I have to get the rest from my nieghbor, cause she has the other page.

ok i dont agree with the last person on the "how much you should weigh because your 13" thing..we cant tell you how much you should weigh beceause we dont know how tall you are...if i were you i would just experiment..see how low you can go without looking anorexic..cuz if you are very short even 120 can still look fat.
Now how to lose the weight? good question...i've been battling this ever since i was young and i have to say the thing that works for me is eating what i want..but watching my calories.
I am 15 years old, 5'8, and i weigh 315 pounds..disgusting right? tell me about it.
So I should get no more than 1200 calories a day...and this is what i do to achieve that..
Lets say I consume 2000 calories..thats obviously alot more than 1200..thats 800 calories more to be exact..
so what i do is workout for however long it takes to burn most of those calories..
i have been in this situation before and i think i burned about 600-700 calories..
and believe it or not this is very effective. esp. for me because im such a picky eater and i can eat what i want and how ever much of it i want just as long as i work the extra calories off later..

EDIT: Some things I do to burn the calories include walking on the treadmill, walking my dog, and excersizes we did in my gym class

to be right weight, you should way 120 (avg. for a 13 year old) so thats like 40 pounds. so if i were you, be ready to take about 2 months (try losin 20 a month). so pretty much stay away from sugars as much as posible. ok thats the BEST. also, to start out with i would do running or crew or bicyclling. those are good. then when you lose 20 poounds, start swimming (unless you are NOT ashamed of your body, i knoW MOST overweight people are) also, you can cut down on your meal sizes. smaller, healthier, LESS sugarful meals

hey. if you want to loose weight. the best thing to do is to drink PLENTY of water. avoid snacking inbetween meals (especially the unhealthy ones). dont eat dessert. make sure to get at least 30 minutes of excerise a day. here is a site that you can look at. it has some great links:
