ok well.. i met this friend on the internet.. she love billie joe armstrong like i do... but she is saying she is going to california for the summer and is going to STALK him and search through his garbage!!!!!!I told her that is wrong and he had a right to his own privacy... but then.... he's hot!(laughing) well... i know that is freaky.. and she is getting herself into some serious trouble.. she said she wouldn't do it.. but my main question is.. what kind of trouble will she get into?
LadyGoodman answered Thursday May 25 2006, 12:31 am: Technically there was a supreme court decision saying that garbage is public. (obviously if his garbage is behind locked gates on his property that's another story). However, your friend sounds a bit dumb and I wouldn't talk to her. Obsessions like that aren't healthy. Stalking could definitely get her into trouble... people get arrested for stalking celebrities all the time. Honestly, she'd probably just get a slap on the wrist if she's a teenage girl because she's practically harmless, even if terribly creepy, but it's still generally not a good habit to get into stalking celebrities. As someone who has grown up around them, they're not really that much more different from everyone else a lot of the time so the concept just seems plain ridiculous. Sherry answered Thursday May 25 2006, 12:06 am: Well first of all this guy is not going to have his house open to the public, there has to be gates, something to protect him from freaky-stalker-fans like your friend. Plus how is she going to find his house in all of California? That information is not available to the public nor will it ever be. So the chances she'll actually find his house are slim to none. And lets say she does find his house somehow...she has no way of getting around the gates, gaurds, whatever.
If she is caught trying something, she could be arrested..sent to juvvinile detention for a few days..nothing too serious since she is under the age of 18. [ Sherry's advice column | Ask Sherry A Question ]
