YES!

I just started using it. It's amazing.

What you do is put warm salt water on the spot, stick on a dab of honey, and let it sit for 15 min. Then wash it off. It draws out the dirt to the surface. I just squeeze out the dirt, but I'm impatient, and I wouldn't recommend doing that.

Despite "thspiral" said, I know it sounds like he/she knows what they're talking about, but, frankly, he/she doesn't know what he/she is talking about.

Here's a little bit about acne. Acne is caused by the bacteria called Propionobacter acne. This is a kind of bacteria that lives on normal skin. Everyone has it. The problem is that it "eats" the stuff that is secreted by your skin. When it does that, it causes a bit of inflammation, usually around a fair follicle, or, a pore. The inflammation is a pimple.

Now, bacteria love sugars. Honey, chocolate, and anything sweet is a breeding ground for bacteria, especially Propionobacter acne. When you eat a lot of honey or chocolate, your skin secretes a sweeter product for the bacteria to "eat"

So, it's nice for people to think that they can eat as much chocolate or honey as they want, and it won't cause more acne, that's why people make articles like "thspiral" has quoted. The sad part is that it's just not true.

The best thing you can do for acne is sweat. Sweat washes away the bacteria that causes acne, and cleans out your pores. Take a hot cup of water and hold your head over it for a bit, rinse your face off, repeat daily. That should help.

Just don't put honey on your face :)

While the other person giving advice about honey may be on the right track about alergies (there is some dispute about it, but it is possible) the fact that acne is caused by, or worsened by sugar or any other type of food has not been shown to be true in research. Here is a copy and paste from

Q.What role does diet play in acne?

A. Acne is not caused by food. Following a strict diet will not, clear your skin. While some people feel that their acne is aggravated by certain foods, particularly chocolate, colas, peanuts, shellfish and some fatty foods, there is no scientific evidence that suggests food causes or influences acne. Avoid any foods which seem to worsen your acne and, for your overall health, eat a balanced diet--but diet shouldn't really matter if the acne is being appropriately treated.

no, that is not true. Honey, if it is made from bees that live near you, can help you deal with seasonal allergies from pollen, but no, honey won't cure acne. In fact, being that honey is a lot of sugar, it could make acne worse.
