I've GAINED weight, how is that possible?

Question Posted Friday May 12 2006, 10:32 am

oh my gosh, you guys..I thought I was doing so great! 2 months ago, I measured my waist, and it was 77 cm all around, and since then I've counted every single calorie, worked out 30 minutes every day, both running and boxing and even some weight lifting, and also swimming, I made sure to keep it very variated, and today it's been exactly 2 months, and I looked to see my progress and it was 82 cm all arounf my waist! I've been crying for an hour now, how is that possible? How could I have GAINED weight, when I've done everything to LOSE weight?
I promise you I havn't cheated with what I've been eating, or my excersize..that's why I was so surprised, I thought I was doing so well!!

Help me please!!

Aw sweetie.. (tehe) dont be crying over weight. Its not worth it. Anyway.. you could be gaining muscle. Muscle is denser than fat.

Or you could be doing things wrong. You know to lose weight you have to burn more calories than you take in, right? Have you skipped out on soda? That is a big reason for obesity.

And you could have measured wrong! Good luck with losing weight! (But remember, beauty and happiness isnt in the size you wear, or how silky your hair is, or if you have perfect skin, its on the inside.)

It may be that you arent getting enough of something. A vitamin etc. When you dont eat quite enough, your body thinks theres a famine on and stores fat up. If you are excercising so much, make SURE you drink plenty of water or juice and eat enough.

Well since you said you haven't cheated on your eating and exercising, it might be just because you gained muscle... you know?

because I've been exercising to lose weight for one year and trust me, there are ups and downs because sometimes i gain weight but my abs looks whole lot better than when i weighed less...

And do you feel you have become more physically fit or looks that way??? because if you do, then number shouldn't really matter

and keep up the good work!! because when im exercising, i cheat sometimes... and that results to me in gaining pounds back on,so yeah...

so if you keep working at it, you will see results eventually!!

Hope you lose weight that you want~
