ok well this is kinda health thing but yah i wanted to ask about this acne prob. i have.. ok its a lil weird.. but uh ok i have a lil acne in between my "chest" and i hate wearing bathing suits b.c of it and i was wondering do i use regular acne soap for it or is there something special for it?? i know its weird but please help. thank you. ill rate!!
dottie4 answered Wednesday May 10 2006, 10:35 am: This is not weird at all. I have the same problem. Think of it this way though. Nobody can see it unless you wear shirts that show off your chest. What I do to keep mine under control is, I use the birth control pill. Also I use this nature's cure body spray stuff. It seriously helps a lot. This may sound weird but sometimes when you wear heavy material you may tend to break out around that area. I reccomend you maybe wear loose fitting shirts because, if you sweat, that may be whats causing you to break out around your chest. [ dottie4's advice column | Ask dottie4 A Question ]
Teza answered Monday May 8 2006, 11:34 pm: That's so normal & it can be treated. =) Anyways, you don't really have to go out and order any special thing but there is a Nuetrogena body wash for acne. It's for acne on the back, shoulders and chest and it works because I use it. [ Teza's advice column | Ask Teza A Question ]
JNS answered Monday May 8 2006, 11:24 pm: It's normal... I would try the normal stuff you use on your face. Acne on your chest is not as abnormal as you think. Hormonal fluctuations cause acne to pop up in the strangest places, but I wouldn't worry because in most cases it's not permanent. [ JNS's advice column | Ask JNS A Question ]
LadyGoodman answered Monday May 8 2006, 11:21 pm: You might want to continue using your soap and then using a *little* bit of moisturizer afterwards. It sounds really weird...but here's my reasoning. When you use something like an astringent or soap with acne medicine with it, it works to take the oil out of that area, which seems like a good thing since that's what causes the acne. But then your body realizes how dry that area has become and works to make more oil, and completely takes away the effect of the acne medicine. Replenishing the moisture a tiny bit helps to eliminate that. For me, with my face, it can still be a little hit or miss because of diet and other factors... so I suggest talking to a dermatologist if it persists and they can help you further. greeneyedgirl9o answered Monday May 8 2006, 10:17 pm: the skin there is very senstive, and i know what your talking about, its actually normal! dont worry, what you need to do, is not use acne medicine but instead use warm water and just sooth the pimples with the warm water, it reduces the redness and makes them go away faster. if this doesnt work than use a very little amount of the acne medicine, but as long as you wash there regulary it should fade! good luck!
