It hurts

Question Posted Friday May 5 2006, 11:09 pm

I was shaving my legs last night and I got to the back of my upper legs (between the back of my knee and my butt) and it hurt for some reason. It felt like a sore that you've scratched so much its like raw. Well it wasn't really hurting when I went to sleep but all today during school its hurt like when I sat at my desk and stuff and I don't even know what it is and it swelled up. It basically looks like a sore that you've scratched so much and now its in the form of a bump. But I've never scratched there or anything...

It sounds like you possibly had a large spot there that perhaps you accidentally shaved and made bleed. If this is the case, that would explain why you're so sore today.

If this doesn't sound like it and it isn't gone in a few days, you should see your doctor to get it checked out. It definitely sounds like a spot to me (I've had a similar problem before) but you can never be too careful.

Maybe you shaved a small, thin layer of skin off? I've done that before... really painful! don't worry, it'll heal.

its just razor burn. it should go away in a day or two. your probably just not using enough shaving cream. and if your useing enough then try puting on lotion after you get out of the showerit should help keep the razor burn away and it makes your legs smoother and shineyer =]

2 words. razor burn, hun! i personally don't shave that far up, but i've had experiences where i've done that and it hurts. i suggest that after you shave, use some kind of lotion to moisturize your skin like kind that is made for extremely dry skin. i hope this helps!
