My face is oily, and I drink a lot of water everyday, and it doesn't help. What should I do to make it better. Please don't say use proactiv or wash my face.

hey, well drinking watr doesnt help oily skin. it doesnt make a difference. but anyways when you do wash your face use a good quality face wash. dont use soem cheap brand. good brands are clearasil, pro activ, and neutrogena. i wouldnt recommned getting teh proactiv if you asrent planning on sticking to washing your face 2 times a day daily. because it is expensive. cait♥

The best way to keep the problem to a minimum is to wash your face with a perfume free cleanser morning and night, so that your skin is clean, but there is no need to scrub it too hard as this actually produces more oil. Choose oil free cosmetics and an oil free moisturiser, especially if they contain alpha-hydroxy acids as these remove dead cells in you skin and improve the appearance of it.

Giving your skin a treatment can also be good a couple of times a week, and for this you don't need to have expensive equipment. All you need is to place your face over a bowl of hot water with a towel over your head for a few minutes.

Certain vitamins can help to give you good skin so supplement your diet with a multivitamin as vitamins A, C, E and zinc are all helpful. Don't allow yourself too much sun exposure as the heat will cause more oil to be produced.

Avoid Vitamin E products, especially in a humid environment - it stimulates oil glands.

Good luck!

hey! one thing to consider is, do you moisturize (with a good moisturizer) every morning and night after you wash your face? if not, then you absolutely need to do it! the reason your skin is oily is because really, it's dry, and your body is producing it's own moisturizer (oil) for the dry skin. of course you don't want the oil there because it clogs pores which results in pimples, and it makes your face look shiny! when you moisturize, your skin will be well nourished and your body will have no reason to produce oil! :)

my face is pretty oily too and what i do is use this neutogena face wash, i forget what its called but it says something with oil-free and its in a orange bottle. if you dont want a face wash there are also these oil blotting papers ..its called biore shine control oil blotting sheets and you just use it on your face and all the oil comes off, its great!
