getting him alone

Question Posted Thursday May 4 2006, 9:00 pm

i want to get this boy alone so i can ask him to a dance but i can never seem to get him alone...he's always with friends! i think it's better to ask him in private right? i mean i don't even know his friends like at all, & i don't want to embarass him or anything (or myself haha). so anyways, how do i get him alone? i only see him in one class & sometimes in the hall but we are walking to classes so there's not time! i don't want to like ask in the middle of the hall in front of all the random people in the hall either! what should i do?!?!?! (i want to do it in person)

i agree that you should ask him privately to make him and urself more comfortable. umm try to find the time in class. if hes with his friends politley say "hey can i talk to you real quick?" and just take him aside for a minute and do what you gotta do. if you realllly come to no more choices, then i would have to break my own rule and ask him online or the phone. if you do ask him on the phone or internet then just say "im sry i havent gotten a chance to talk to you in person latley but ... " so i hope i helped and much luck to you have fun at your dance

If you know the guy pretty well, you can always just go up to him during lunch or something and real casual just say "Hey, can I talk to you for a sec?" and then step aside and most likely he'll follow you. Then just tell him that the dance is coming up and he seems like a fun person to go with. Then say, "Do you wanna come with me?" This may be a little more gutsy than what you had in mind, but seriously you don't just want to sit around and wait to catch him one day walking in the halls by himself or anything, TRUST me--just go for it.

Yea i agree alone is better! try just asking him if you guys can talk for a minutes after school or class or something. if his friends are always around him, hint to them you want to talk to him, and then just kind of work your way around till you guys are alone. you could also pass him a note saying you want to talk to him for a minute, its kinda cute and unique! good luck!

I think it probably would be best to ask him alone too, but you just have to ask him, "Can I talk to you for a second in private?" and he'll probably come with you alone.

It's better than to ask in front of his friends and possibly get rejected. And you are right, it probably would embarrass him.
