my friend and i have been friends for a while but we just started getting closer this year i like him but should i tell him should i eben go out with him that might ruin the friendship
If you just feel attracted to him because he is good looking and makes you laugh etc, it might be better to leave things as they are because it is better to do that than risk going off him (or vice versa) and have your friendship ruined.
Should you decide to go for it, explain to him that you really like him but you're concerned because you don't want to lose him as a friend if anything happens or if he doesn't feel the same way. This way, you rule out any concerns over awkwardness from the word 'go'. [ Vikki27's advice column | Ask Vikki27 A Question ]
AskGwen answered Friday May 5 2006, 2:24 pm: A lot of relationships start by being friends beforehand. The as the friendship grows it grows into a bf/gf situation. Some last as long as many years while others end after a period. Its up to the ones involved making relationships grow and mature as time moves along. Most start the relationship afraid the friendship will end. Some do, some don't. So relax, talk to him about your feels and see if you can come to a mutual understanding, that the basis for any relationship, friends or otherwise.
Good luck [ AskGwen's advice column | Ask AskGwen A Question ]
