You can go to the bank's ATM machine and pull cash out (only by $20.00 dollar bills though). Also, if some places take Visa, you can pay with just your card. You just have to keep track of the money you used because its extremely easy to go over the amount you have in there and then the bank will charge you with all these fees and its not pretty, haha. So basically, you take your money or checks and deposit them in the account and then you can just pay with it or take money out with your card.

At restaurants and other merchants, simply hand your card to the merchant, sign your receipt, and go. At grocery stores and gas stations, select "Credit" on the keypad and sign your receipt. The amount is still deducted from your checking account
Advantages of a Check Card:
-Quicker than making a trip to the ATM, more convenient than writing checks, and safer than carrying cash.
-Accepted at millions of merchant locations worldwide.
-No need to use your PIN—just sign as you would for any Visa card.
-Visa check card purchases are automatically deducted from your checking account, so there’s no interest to pay.
-Simplify your record-keeping—your monthly statement provides you with a detailed record of all your transactions.
