semi- permanent hair colour

Question Posted Tuesday April 18 2006, 10:51 am

Hey I was wondering if anyone could recommend some glossy, chocolatey brown semi- permanent hair colours that condition your hair aswell as colour it. Price doesn't matter but the cheaper the better.

thanx ;-) luv r xxx

Color pulse is a good dye, but NOT what you are looking for... there are no chocolatey brown shades

I would use L'oreal Moisture Spa Actif (or something like that... it's in a blue box). It lasts for 24 washes and has many shades that I think you would like. I have used this to dye my hair Auburn (I am naturally dark dark dark dark brown), and it came out nice. My friend used it to dye her hair chocolatey brown, and it came out good.

This dye comes with really really REALLY good conditioner... and I mean REALLY good. After you dye your hair and you've washed it out, they tell you to leave some conditioner on your hair... it makes your hair SUPER soft and SUPER shiney! It's fasntastic.

And the dye is pretty cheap too =)

If you can find it in the shades you're looking for, L'Oreal Color Pulse is my favorite Semi-permanent dye. It doesn't bleed, and its a really nice deep-conditioner that keeps your hair dyed for about 8 washes, but with the redder shades, your hair will sometimes stay tinted for a while.

Do remember, though, you can't lift color with color, so in other words, if you're darker than the shade you're going for, its not going to work.
