i've asked a lot of question about weight loss
but did anyone see the wrestling true life on mtv? not exactly what the title actually was, but with the kid that tricked his body into thinking that he was having three full meals, by having a piece of a power bar every few hours. does that actually work? i know it's not the healthiest route, but that if you starve yourself your body will go into starvation mode, and your metabolism slows down, etc, etc. would tricking your metabolism help you lose a ton of weight without like... dying?
Additional info, added Tuesday April 18 2006, 1:04 am: i just realized that my question is too choppy, and it isn't very clear. but hopefully you know what i mean.
Also, like you said, it can slow down your metabolism, so when you DO eat a MEAL your body will have a hard time getting rid of the excess and working it off. You'd be better off eating alot or enough of the RIGHT foods because it will boost your metabolism, the problem is when you eat too much junk. Also, without food you won't have energy to work off any weight.
MikeCFT answered Tuesday April 18 2006, 2:48 pm: No it doesn't work. Here's why:
1. I've researched all of this
2. It was on MTV and anything on that retarded channel with "True" in the title never is.
3. It was a kid doing it.
4. The most realistic answer- Common sense should tell you that starving your body probably isn't a good idea.
This is why I hate to see this shit on TV because everyone just gets sucked into it whether they're 13 or 40 and either do it or go and look for some colorful diet at the checkout of a supermarket that is somewhat close to it.
My advice- just don't take anything MTV airs too seriously lol..like honestly what the hell kind of good information can come from a show on MTV? [ MikeCFT's advice column | Ask MikeCFT A Question ]
PinkLady4863 answered Tuesday April 18 2006, 10:17 am: no no no this does not work. Sure you can only have a few bites of protien a day but it will not trik your body. You will have metabolism issues and your body will go into starvation mde beause you are not taking in enough calories per day.
Also, your body will not have enough nutrients. You will be weak, hungry, and one you start to eat normally again fat beause your body is in starvation mode. Not to mention the fact that protien bars are all protien, which is often turned into fat.
If you really want to lose weight don't go this route, just eat tons of vegetables and go running for 30 min everyday. This is absolutely sure to make you melt away pounds quickly and actually make your metabolism faster! The protien bar method is just an easy way out that doesn't even work and will have you ending up fat with a slow metabolism. The old fashion way is the way that works.
